As the American traffic safety authority NHTSA now announces, motorcycle manufacturer Indian in the USA has 2,742 models of the types Indian Scout and 2019 Indian Scout Bobber. The recall is spread across 1,268 Scout models and 1,474 Scout Bobber models. The vehicles were manufactured between November 2018 and July 2019. The current callback is an extension of an earlier callback.

Brake system is being bled

Air can get into the ABS braking system during the manufacturing process. As a result, the braking performance of these machines can be reduced. In the worst case, an accident can occur. When visiting the workshop, the brake circuits on both bikes of the affected motorcycles are vented. In the USA, the recall is starting immediately.

As Indian on request, no machines in Germany or Europe are affected by this recall. Since we knew about this problem early on, all machines were checked upon delivery and, if necessary, improved.
