8th Corsica rally: Velardi Day !
Christophe Velardi, imperial at home on the handlebars of his Ducati 1200 Multistrada, left no chance for the mainlanders and won the Corsican event of the 2014 French rally championship. The championship is in full swing… Report.
Final ranking
In the final classification of this eighth rally of Corsica, third round of the 2014 French championship, we find Christophe Velardi winner of the rally riding his Ducati 1200 Multistrada, ahead of Laurent Filleton on Aprilia 1000 Tuono and Thomas Verdoni on Honda 1000 CBR RR.
Such a victory effectively brings Christophe Velardi up to third position in the provisional championship. Laurent Filleton retains his second place and Julien Toniutti remains in pole position in the provisional with now 17 points ahead of his pursuer.
In the constructors’ championship, Yamaha Team Deletang retains first place with 161 points ahead of Aprilia Team Jourdan / H (152) and the KTM Team Compte-Tours (130 points).
