2017 Honda CBR650F: first information
Streamlined version of the CB650F, the CBR650F benefits from the same evolutions as the Honda mid-size roadster for 2017. The small sports car therefore passes the Euro 4 standard and the 91 hp bar, while acquiring a new fork and a new LED optic.
While the "Supersport" sector has undergone an appalling slump in recent years in France, it has a comparatively much more satisfactory career, mainly thanks to its affordable price (currently on sale at € 7999, price for 2017 to follow) and its sporty lines … slightly reworked for 2017.
Like the "naked" from which it came, Honda’s little roadster takes advantage of the changeover to Euro 4 to strengthen its game: 3 horsepower and 1 Nm more thanks to the revised intake and exhaust, and shorter gears (2nd to 5th gears).
Like the 650 roadster, the little sporty gets a new Showa Dual Bending Valve (SDBV) fork, new Nissin calipers and a new narrower saddle. The half-handlebars, on the other hand, are unchanged … and better highlight the "Alumite" finish of the octagonal fork caps..
Slightly redesigned, "the new front part of the fairing not only reinforces the Supersport styling but also helps to channel the airflow from the high pressure area at the front to the inside of the airbox", s packs a bit of Honda. But if not, the turbo will arrive when ?!
Curiously, while the CB650F does not change weight (208 kg), the CBR650F accuses 2 kg more than its predecessor on the scale of the Tokyo manufacturer: 213 kg all full. The fault of the new dressing or the LED lighting, behind as in front … or of a bad handling during one of the weighings ?!
