Since the first turns of the wheels of the Tiger in 1994, the trail of Hinckley has never hidden its ardor and its temperament, until sliding towards sporting limits attitudes in its last version 1050 – History of going to tease a little the Ducati Multistrada, Benelli Tre-K and Moto-Morini GranPasso.
However, the Tiger does not forget its aspirations as a road machine, especially in this SE version. It comes standard with the Triumph side case set (44 liters capacity), hand guards and ABS. The small facelift operated on the standard 1050 Tiger is obviously applied to the S.E..
Enough to travel a little further with the best of companions: its fiery and captivating 3 cylinders. 20-liter tank to cut the road and sporty chassis for unrestrained fun as soon as the going gets tough. Admittedly, with its aluminum perimeter frame, an inverted fork equipped with radial brake calipers, a Daytona swingarm, the new generation Tiger would have big supermoto cravings that we wouldn’t be surprised. 2012 marks a change on the technical side. To increase efficiency, the inverted 43mm fork is modified from the inside: changed oil volume, modified valve and compression piston. The evolution is even more marked for the rear shock absorber: harder spring (+ 29%), modification of the compression and rebound valves, modification of the spring preload and modification of the positioning of the various settings.
The Tiger SE was only to be produced in limited quantities. It is finally renewed in 2010, 2011 and 2012, with more colors.
