Zhongneng takes over traditional brand
The traditional Italian brand Moto Morini has a new owner. As the company announced on Wednesday (October 3rd, 2018), the Chinese Zhongneng Vehicle Group has taken over 100% of the shares.

It wasn’t until 2015 Moto Morini Taken over by the Italian investor Autjann under the leadership of the industrial family Jannuzzelli. Now the Chinese are supposed to run the motorcycle manufacturer’s fortunes.
Moto Morini stays in Italy
The value of the transaction is given in Italian media at 10 million euros. In a first statement, the Chinese announce expansion plans that will build on the existing and new models in various cubic capacity classes. The location in Italy is to be retained. No personnel measures are planned.
Moto Morini had just managed to adapt its current models Corsaro ZZ, Corsaro ZT, the Milano and Scrambler to the Euro4 emissions regulations.
Zhongneng from Shanghai has so far built scooters and small motorcycles.
