The MV Agusta Rush is entering the 2021 model year with a larger electronics arsenal, a new color scheme and a Euro 5-compatible engine.

The Rush is the most extreme naked bike interpretation in the MV Agusta model range. For the 2021 model year, the Italians have further sharpened the nude, and forcibly adapted it to Euro 5.

With Euro 5 and the same performance

Numerous DLC-coated components are said to have reduced the internal friction of the 1,000-series four-cylinder. In the cylinder head, camshafts rotate with adapted timing, the valves are located in new guides, the primary drive has been revised and a newly tuned engine management together with a new manifold guarantees compliance with Euro 5 requirements. A new gearbox sensor ensures optimized gear changes via quickshifter and blipper, and a reinforced clutch is supposed to better withstand loads during starts via Launch Control. The bottom line is that after the revision, the four-cylinder continues to develop 208 hp at 13,000 tours. The maximum torque drops negligibly by 0.5 Nm to 116.5 Nm at 11,000 revolutions. If the optional racing kit is installed, there should be 212 hp at 13,600 rpm.

The latter includes an SC Project exhaust system with carbon covers, new software for the engine control, a cover for the pillion seat roll, milled hand levers with lever protectors, a milled fuel cap, modified brake discs as well as an exclusive motorcycle tarpaulin and an instrument cover. Everything nicely packaged in a wooden box with a certificate of authenticity.

More electronics

Building on a new electronics platform from Continental, the MV Agusta Rush now has a multi-configurable, color 5.5-inch TFT display with integrated navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and GPS tracking, wheelie control, cornering ABS, cruise control and leek control.

Unchanged in terms of hardware, the chassis with its Ohlins spring elements adapted in the set-up, the spoked wheel at the front and the partially covered forged rim at the rear moves into the new model year. The seat cushions are now covered with Alcantara and equipped with yellow contrasting stitching. MV Agusta has also refreshed the forged footrest system.

The color concept for the 2021 model year relies on a gray basic color, a lot of visible carbon surfaces and subtle yellow accents. The Italians speak of a visual proximity to combat aircraft.

The new MV Agusta Rush, again limited to just 300 copies, is available for prices starting at 38,800 euros. So 4,800 more than in the previous year. MV also stocks a specially designed AGV Pista RR helmet and other items of clothing exclusively for Rush customers.

Yes, such models are always worth the money.

No, in many cases they are simply exaggerated.

Conclusion

MV Agusta has revised the Rush for 2021. A new color, more electronics and Euro 5 characterize the Hyper-Naked-Bike. However, the price of almost 39,000 euros is steep.
