KTM and Husqvarna call all machines of the models KTM SX, SX-FM, SMR and Husqvarna TC, FC and FS of the model year 2021 into the workshops. The drive chain must be replaced.

Write worldwide KTM and Husqvarna all owners of machines of the types KTM SX, SX-F and SMR as well as Husqvarna TC, FC and FS and ask them to contact an authorized dealer immediately to make an appointment. In this recall, the drive chain will be exchanged for all models mentioned free of charge.

Chain can fail

According to KTM and Husqvarna, there have been deviations in the production of the chain supplier, which has resulted in the assembly of defective chains. In the worst case, the chains can fail prematurely and cause consequential damage. To be on the safe side, all chains are therefore exchanged.

Allow a good 20 minutes for the exchange at the dealer. About the area “service” On the KTM and Husqvarna websites, every owner can use the chassis number to quickly find out whether his motorcycle is affected by a recall. According to an Australian source, the TC 125, FC 250 and 350 models as well as the FS450 at Husqvarna, which were produced between December 1st and 5th, are affected.
