This survey resulted in a ranking – the most frequently named brand in the respective category was Best Brand 2020. Below you can see the results from the categories chain sprays / cleaning / care products, communication systems, leather clothing, navigation systems, oils / lubricants as well as online shops and protectors.

This branch almost caused an earthquake at the top. The products from S100 / Dr. Wack grew beyond themselves, WD 40 lost almost six percentage points and thus a lot of fans. They obviously went over to Liqui Moly. Almost a year ago, the Society for Technical Supervision (GTu) tested cleaning agents and the S100 Total Cleaner spray gel from Dr. Best perceived to be wack as the test winner. It really cleans up the dirt and dries without having to peel off the leather and without leaving water stains. For comfort, bikers obviously dig deeper into their pockets and, as a precaution, prefer to leave mom’s household remedies, which are much cheaper, behind.

The MOTORRAD readers were able to vote for this Best Brand category for the second time. Not much has changed in the ranking compared to last year, apart from the position swap between Albrecht and Interphone. It is noticeable, however, that Sena now has almost twice as many fans as Cardo. The SF series is likely to have played a major role in this. It was designed for young drivers on a tight budget. The line ranges from the basic headset, which only allows connection with a cell phone or navigation system, to the Sena SF4. This enables communication in small groups. The Sena range has continued to expand over the past few years.

The dozen is full. For twelve years now, the motorcycle group has loved to let Swabian leather on its skin. The unforgotten company founder Claus Hammer is sure to let off screams of joy when he sees his offspring keep the family’s life’s work going. While son Dennis is holding the strings in the background, daughter Julia is gaining experience with the in-house bespoke suits. She is at the start in the IDM Supersport 300, but not yet completely secure. But thanks to her own creations, she has been spared from serious injuries so far. The vote for Swabian leather was lower in 2020 than in the previous year, so that Dainese could soon be sawing on the chair, but ten years ago the result was even tighter. In third place is Alpinestars as if carved. A rising trend in terms of popularity can be observed at Held. If this continues, the podium will soon be there.

After all, the strap-on protector also looks good and that is one of the most important reasons for buying it.
