MOTORCYCLE tour tip – Central Black Forest tour
MOTORCYCLE tour tip – Central Black Forest tour
Northeast of Freiburg – once through the middle
Tour tip
Open but critical. This is how we approached the central Black Forest. After the 185-kilometer lap, not only the memory cards but also the heads are full of impressions.

Triberg is a good starting and ending point for the tour. If you want to really enjoy the landscape and the streets, you should spend a second night, e.g. B. in the hotel “To the sun” consider in St. Peter near the Kandel. On the 1242 meter high summit, a motorcycle meeting point and a grandiose view await. The highlights of the tour are numerous: Katzensteig, Hexenloch- and Prechtal stand out.
route: 185 km / Travel time: approx. 5 hours (1.5 days for a stopover with overnight stay)

- Behind Glashutte on L 128 to St. Margen. After St. Peter turn onto the L 186, which climbs up to the Kandel.
- From Kandel via Waldkirch through the Elztal to Gutach im Breisgau. Here turn towards Keppenbach. Continue along the Tennenbachle to Freiamt.
- From Freiamt via the L 110 to Schweighausen, then Welschensteinach. In Steinach im Kinzigtal right on the B 33 to Haslach and Hausach. On the B 33 to the Vogtsbauernhof open-air museum.
- After Gutach (Black Forest Railway) turn onto the L 107 into the Prechtal towards Elzach. In Oberprechtal turn off on L 109 and enjoy the environment and asphalt up to the high point of Wilhelmshohe. Then continue to curve back to Triberg via Schonach.
