Tour tip

The German Alpine Road covers a good part of the route. The special thing about it: dangling movements that the alpine road does not make are included in our route. So the detour to the Karwendel and Spitzingsee.

The route leads from Bad Tolz to Walchensee, with a detour to Austria to Sylvensteinsee and on to Sudelfeld. The roads are in very good condition. Restrictions are planned at Kochelsee and Sudelfeld in order to curb excessively brisk driving. Special highlights are the Sylvensteinsee and the Eng.

Travel time: approx. 8 – 9 hours (without breaks), 2 days with a stopover with overnight stay / Route driven: 337 km

Start in Bad Tolz > Direction Arzbach parallel to the B13 > in Lengries turn left onto the B13 > 3.2 km later left towards Jachenau > from “Muhle” toll road (€ 4.-) > after 12 km Einsiedel am Walchensee.

Option: In Einsiedel to the right towards Kochel > Urfeld to Kochel curvy (lane divider, radar control) > at the Kochelsee back towards Walchensee > on to Wallgau > Toll road (€ 4.-) to Vorderriss > in the front crack on the right towards the rear crack / maple back > 25 km to the end of the valley, overnight accommodation > back to Vorderriss and on to the Sylvenstein reservoir > over the dam, the B307 35 km in the direction of Tegernsee

After Tegernsee keep in the direction of Schliersee > in Aurach towards Hundham / Bad Fellnbach > from Brannenburg to Tatzelwurmstrabe (toll) > further on to Sudelfeld

Descent to Bayrischzell > continue towards Gaitenau, Stauden, Feistenau, Laitzach > in Laitzach right to Jedling > there left towards Miesbach > after 1.3 km right towards Grobseeham > directly in front of the Seehamer See to Reichersdorf, Thalham and Sachsenkam

In Sachsenkam detour to the right to the Kirchsee > back to Sachsenkam and the end of the route in Bad Tolz.
