Additional brake light for the helmet
Third Eye Design from the US state of New York wants to make motorcycling safer and has therefore developed an additional brake light for the helmet. But it can do even more.

Seeing and, above all, being seen are extremely important for safety on a motorcycle. Third Eye Design takes care of the point of being seen with its newly developed additional light, which, according to the manufacturer, can be attached to any helmet.
The LED light module is simply glued to the back of the helmet with a 3M Velcro pad. It should be easy to detach from the helmet in the event of an accident. To provide it with wireless signals, an additional module is plugged into the motorcycle’s wiring harness. This then transmits the corresponding light commands to the helmet module. Only motorcycles with a 12-volt electrical system are compatible.
Not allowed in Germany
The helmet light shows a brake light as soon as the driver applies one of the brakes. But even if the system detects a noticeable reduction in speed, the brake light is activated. In addition, the helmet module can copy the indicators from the indicators. If the left flashes, the left partial light on the helmet lights up orange, on the right analogue. The two integrated AAA batteries should last a whole motorcycle season. The LEDs in the light also indicate a low battery level.

The additional brake light InView for the helmet is available with a red or white lens. The package, priced at around US $ 250, includes the InView light, the radio module for the cable harness and two adhesive helmet pads. In Germany, the helmet brake light may not be used due to legal regulations, and it lacks an E-mark.
