Has brought up the recall Kawasaki Z900 the American traffic safety authority NHTSA. A total of 1,173 models of the types are on the US market Z 900 and Z 900 RS called back. 7,763 vehicles are affected in Europe and 1,342 in Germany. All vehicles are from the 2018 model year.

The brakes and ABS could fail

Incorrectly laid lines to the rear wheel can rub against the tire and be damaged as a result. The brake hydraulic line and the cable that leads to the ABS sensor on the rear wheel are affected. If the lines are damaged, braking and / or ABS failure can occur. In addition, the speedometer signal that runs via the same sensor can also fail.

When visiting the workshop, the routing of the lines is checked and corrected if necessary. Damaged lines are replaced. In the USA and Germany, the recall for the Kawasaki Z900 will start in December. In Germany, the owners of affected models are contacted via the KBA.
